When you hear the word "church", what comes to mind? Is it a group of perfect people following all the rules? Or maybe it's a place into which you never thought of stepping foot?
Here at New Holland Mennonite we recognize that we are an imperfect people working together to love and support one another in understanding God's will for our lives.
We invite you to come along on this journey with us.
We invite you to experience God's transforming love in your life.
We invite you to worship with us and be a part of our community.
Outdoor Worship Services
Good Friday: April 2, 7 p.m. (Zoom) Tenebrae means “darkness.” In this solemn service, fourteen passages of scripture describe Jesus’ spiritual and physical suffering prior to and including his crucifixion. Candles representing each event are extinguished, symbolizing the flight and despair of the disciples and the isolation of Jesus. Finally the flame of a solitary candle points hopefully to the future, and the tolling gong recounts the thirty-three earthly years of our Lord.
Easter: April 4, 6 a.m. Sunrise service followed by an
outdoor breakfast. (Bring your blankets and chairs). Masks and social distancing required. Additional Details
Evening Worship on the Front Lawn: May 2, June 6, July 4, August 1: 6:30 p.m. outdoor worship services. (Will switch to 6:30 p.m. zoom if unable to meet outdoors. Decision will be made by 5 p.m. and emailed to congregation.)
